Wessex’s voice didn’t make her jump though, simply turning her head over her shoulder, a rough nod correlating and coordinating there, before her eyes swung back over to the now howling vampire gourd. If she didn’t know any better, presuming these things had little intelligence at all, the damned thing acted like it’d been recently crowned, bellowing at the world like some mighty tyrant. “Probably,” she motioned in reply, considering, contemplating, before putting away her daggers.
And grabbing her throwing knives.
“What brings you out?” By way of curiosity, while she balanced a few along her fingertips, preparing, angling, practicing a few notches along the tips of her digits. She wouldn’t presume to know or understand all of the Wraith’s actions and responsibilities. Perhaps there was something else out in King’s End for shadows to cling to.
Then she released the blade, watching it sail through the air.
