Noah followed Maeve away from the mortuary and out into the open world. It was dark, and exceptionally quiet for what he knew of Torchline. Despite the stone covering his face and solidifying his jaw, there was a lump in the hunter's throat that could not be swallowed down. Finally they made it to the boat that her personnel had arranged for. There was a fire raging and, because Maeve knew who Noah was, a woman standing with a bow and a single arrow. Noah set Korbin's body in the boat. Before he could speak, there were a few people dressed in black placing beautiful flowers all around him. Somehow, Noah thought the youngest Hale would appreciate that, though with a Halovian pyre there would not have been such delicacy and beauty given.
Sighing, Noah slipped his boots off and stepped into the shallows of the water. He placed his hands on the back of the small boat--an obvious construction for what was transpiring here--and with only a moment of hesitation, pushed him out into the open water. The woman with the bow and followed him, and as Noah turned to take it from her, she turned to another on her side and took a torch from them. Noah nocked the arrow, and the worker lit it, and seamlessly, the Sentinel turned, aimed, and fired.
The boat ignited.
"May he burn brightly."
