Her explanation over what happened with the twins only has him nodding, some amount of understanding coming through. While he’d never had to deal with it personally, he was the one that was often involved in having to either take children from their parents when too many had been birthed, he was the one that often had to deal with those that went off the deep end. Her croak has his gaze shuddering and he blinks as he looks away, back out to the snowy fields. “It was my fault.” He explains as if it means that she doesn’t need to keep saying she’s sorry. Much like her situation with the congratulations – the apologies hurt just as bad.
