The mysterious note had caught his interest enough to make him take another journey into the Wilds. Gideon, who had been growing increasingly worried about an attack from the Ascended as the seasons went on, brought with him a knife and his compass, so he could defend himself and make a quick getaway if he had to.
He also brought the requested items: a small iron bucket filled with snow, a pan and some meats and bread and butter (stored with the snow to keep it cool) and as for something fun...in the Temple there was a box used to store things for children, to make sermons more digestible for the young, and inside there were several silly hats. Ribbons and flowers for the Longheat, ones with little lanterns on for the Festival of Lights, fluffy ones for Deepfrost...he'd brought several of them in a bag.
