The voice pricks at the back of his brain and it takes him a second to remember what words are and who it belongs to. For a fraction of a second, raw anger cracks along the bond but he manages to mostly reel it back in. Slowly, Locke pushes himself up onto his paws, twisting his head to look down at the panther.
