The glacial protest from the ice rings out in low, hollow notes that make your bones tremor and the back of your eyes itch. The ice breaks and snaps apart in jagged jigsaw pieces that furiously try and press themselves back together even as the celestial heat from Remi and Ronin dull and melt their edges. Water that appears black until it sloshes over the surface, surges in unison from beneath, as if eager to be released.
