The cold of Deepfrost was beginning to fade and through it the new buds and leaves were showing, growing through hard soil and frost and reaching up to the newly warm sun; Gideon felt the change in seasons deeply, marked it with sermons and festivals and felt it to be a good omen - new life blooming through the cold, as the truth and righteousness of the Gods would burst through the Ascended's metal hearts.
There was always work to do in the Temple, when he wasn't out in the field preaching and working for the Gods. Speeches to prepare, altars to decorate, people to talk to...the Priest was a busy man. It was very rare he would ask for help, but he had put a notice out on the door that week for assistance in the upcoming Fiat Lux celebrations - he wanted the Temple to really shine for the festival, to remind the people of the city what they had here. What they stood to lose if they were lax in the fight against the Voice.
Food to make, decorations to hang, songs to sing, dances to choreograph; all too much for Gideon, who wanted to focus on the sermon he would give in the midst of the happenings. Leaning on the pulpit as he scribbled out ideas on a piece of paper, he waited for those that wanted to help to arrive.
