Pocketing the relic with his left hand as his wings disappear, the alchemist looks up into the face of Ronin's duplicate with eyes still made pale and vengeful by magic. Stretching out a hand that is now down two fingers on the outside and with the skin flayed almost up to the elbow, Remi reaches for his husband as expressions of guilt and fury and disappointment bloom in the small twitches of his lips and eyelashes.
