Oh she’s tricky, and the way the shield vibrates against his metal arm is enough to make his teeth clench tight, but not enough to deter him from smacking the edge of it onto her shoulder. He darts back, recentering himself, focusing on the silver avian-like creature she’s become, peering up from over the edge of the shield, keeping himself mostly crouched.
The wings are a nice touch, though, and he can see the way she uses it as if to ward him away. Which, consider the warning heard – especially when he jumps with the knife feather that launches at his foot. It’s sharp as hell and it zips easily through the leather of his boot like it’s nothing but room temperature butter.
But he isn’t unprepared, because he unlatches the disk from his thigh, activating it with the bright glowing blue hopefully bright enough to take her a moment to get used to the light of it when surrounded by such dark, and he plants the shield by his feet to protect his appendages, popping up and over the top of it to launch the disk at the side of her wings, hoping to bounce the disk off of it.
