And it works. He can hear it plink against the metal of her wings, peeking up over the shield to see where she is because he’s left himself open well enough to lose her. He doesn’t, but he does see the way the disk spins off and he’s hit with something far more intense. Luckily, it doesn’t affect too much like if he were human, but it certainly sparks his sensors with a vibrant blaring alarm that everything is off.
It makes him stumble when he tries to stand up fully, a growl leaving him through his clenched fanged teeth. “Ah, so it’s gonna be like that, huh?” He teases her, even if the sound is sharp and touchy. He pokes out sluggishly from behind the shield and points the fingers of his metal hand toward the ground in front of Wessex, letting his laser upgrade draw a line in the sand as if to warn her from approaching closer.
