Sunjata's gentle reminder to be careful comes a bit late. The sentiment is heard, though, and she makes an effort to settle herself into the grass, chest heaving as she tries to settle her breath.

But I had school - and Dad was busy building our new house. Then it was LongNight..." she trails off, lips scrunching up thoughtfully, "Mama, how come I can't visit you or see your stars in LongNight?" She hadn't liked it, the days of total darkness. It was unnerving to think that it happened every year.
