"Alright, cool. I don't wanna watch you tuck into seer cat." Eating as a whole had become somewhat distasteful since he didn't have to do it anymore, never mind ripping into a cat for magical powers. Adam reached out a hand for the fish, unable to smell it and taking it easily, though he did wrinkle his own nose as the slimy, cold scales touched his palm. "Eurgh. You're lucky we're friends."

At the moment he couldn't see the cat. Assuming it had slunk off to some corner or was hiding behind a pillar, Adam slowly crept to the middle of the dark area under the docks (kicking aside some particularly unpleasant mould) and knelt down, placing the fish on the sand. Lowly, he said back to Maeve: "Maybe you could try go around the edges and herd it in here - then again, you know what they said about herding fucking cats." A little laugh and a shrug came from him, then he took a few steps away from the fish.
