What is Jack if not a shit who finds himself in the right place at the right time? True, the Ark is just getting ready to set sail, but he hasn't had to get the hell out of port at high speed this time, thanks to Torchline's clever little monsoon-shield. So as the ship limps into port, he's sitting at the prow of the Ark, one leg dangling over her railing, a cigarette between his lips.
The crew and her captain are a little too far out for his telepathy to catch them, but Jack knows pirates like sharks know blood in the water, and he fucking hates them. He knows flying colours mean nothing too, and he's got an ear for voices. So as the captain of the vessel starts barking out her orders, the captain's ears perk up.
With a slow drag on his cigarette, he leans over the railing enough to spot the woman on the docks. "Get fucked," he calls by way of greeting. "Take your limp dick dinghy and fuck off back out to sea."
