Besides, he had heard that the resident medic was missing (and they made his nose tickle anyway) so what better time to go for a meaningless walk through the ward of an infirmary?
It was emptier than he had imagined, given their recent influx of torn-to-bits people, and the Ascended's footsteps echoed softly in the darkened hallways. He brushed long fingers over the curtains used to separate the beds, green eyes flashing in the dark as he glanced around.
