Safrin's concerns, though, have his blue eyes focusing steadily on Maeve. "She is concerned that those who have declared themselves loyal to her will be as fair weather as Sunjata," he says softly. "That they will take her gifts, only to change allegiance at the first easy offer they receive." He shrugs.
"So I'm here to ask you if you're serious about your faith to our goddess, and if that will be reflected in Torchline now that the war is creeping closer."
