The nights have lost their minds
Some things never change, some things remain an easy, familiar comfort. The VlamVloed, despite everything, is one of those things.
Their things, essentials for the time they’re going to spend here, have all been dumped in the basement room, but it’s too early to actually retire, evening sun streaming in through the open door, but not quite stretching enough to take a seat at the lightning scarred counter top that Nate’s ass currently rests on. There’s a leg resting on either side of Sunjata where he sits, a distracted hand tossing an apple up and catching it, over and over.
Freshly fed twins behind the bar, watched over loosely by Nate, and far more carefully by Pemota, the starwhal hovering close to the boys. A fuzzy glowing hand crackles into existence, grabbing Sunjata’s chin gently while Nate grabs the apple tightly, leaning in. They’ve been sitting in a silence for too long, and as usual Nate has no problem breaking it with something other than what they need to actually talk about.
“You know, you almost look better in this light Sunny.”
