Casting her staff over a few stray ferns, and watching as they were knocked back and bristled, the youth attempted to bring her excited endeavors to a calm platitude. Even so, her steps remained restless, while her intonations were dropped to a dramatic whisper. “All right, so we’re looking for a four legged animal with bird-like heads, but horns too. They’re not very big either, kinda around the size of a deer?” Her hands indicated where the withers and shoulders of the animal might fall as they walked. “Bright, bright feathers too. I’ve seen a lot of pink, purple, and yellow ones.”
She purposefully pulled them off the main path then, drifting along one that led deeper into a copse, rather than rounding outwards and back to the sea. “You can use them for a lot of stuff too.” An implication that she wouldn’t be allowing the rest of the animal to go to waste. The taste inquiry gave her pause though, considering, going through the repertoire of food she’d eaten. “Lighter than beef? Probably somewhere between venison and chicken.” Fangorn grumbled something in response, maybe his own particulars on the taste, but the promise of meat was enough to sate him for now.
