you wouldn't even recognize me anymore
not that you knew me back then
Despite the dread in the pit of her stomach at what the Glacier’s death means for Halo and her family, Wessex shows her face. Proudly. Unhooded and dressed in simple black leather that makes her look about as wan as she feels, the Wraith stands in the back - well away from the fire. Her eyes linger on the back of people’s heads - some familiar, some not. Some she wished she didn’t see.
And while she wants to linger here to give the former Warden a proper send-off, she cannot help but feel pressed for time. “May she burn brightly,” the Wraith repeats, remembering the very same words she’d said at Weaver’s funeral. Her lips tighten and her jaw clenches and though no tears come, she is mourning Morgan… and Sam, and Bastien, and Mabel all at once. On the inside.
When she feels ready, she silently snakes her way through the crowd to Sah’s other side, clears her throat, and offers him her hand. “I know I said it earlier, but I appreciate you letting me know. Be well.”
{that\'s it for W!}

but it all comes back to me in the end
