Namely, Ru’in. “And the twins themselves…they were so close to one another. Like dolls that shared a limb. So unlike how Raeden and I were.” And oh how she had been grateful for that. That her children were spared that fate, of competitiveness and broken communication. It may have repaired itself later in life, but Hotaru would never get those lost years back. Gone due to her own foolishness.
