Biting his lip, Amun could only hold up his free hand in a shrugging gesture at Ophelia's questions. He shook his head as he did. "Unfortunately, people's avoidance of conflict also translates into an indifference to what those in power do. So long as they personally are safe, folks are tragically willing to turn a blind eye." Sighed, he gave their hands a squeeze.
