“We did.” Nodding emphatically, even while being lured and distracted by the prospect of fresh bread, her eyes darted back to Raza. “I was born in a place called the Dragon’s Throat.” A wide grin encompassed her features, and then she was deterred again, as if this proclamation hadn’t up-ended Raza’s world views. As for the aspects of the deity itself, she shrugged her shoulders, following down the lane of aromas and scents. “I don’t know. It’s a nice sentiment, even if a little futile.” And who hadn’t experienced that lately? Sometimes all their actions did was unfurl more consequences. “Hopefully it’ll get out of there and go back to where it needs to be anyway.” Surely, with so many of them wandering into its traces and folds.
Raza not even wanting to go sounded very Raza-like, and the honeybee permitted a small smile to linger there just on the hints of amusement. “That makes sense,” because it wasn’t often the owner would leave her bar. Even at those notions though, the youth was still bold and audacious enough to not give a shit – much like when she’d persisted and pursued the bone monster. “I’ll go.”
The bizarre circumstances that followed though gave her pause, wondering, very quietly, if something was going on in the market.
