finn
it always seems more quiet in the dark
We do got this, is what Finn would say were he a less uptight individual. He might even grace Tobi with a half smile or a squeeze of her hand across the table. Instead he merely nods, but the tightness in his shoulders does seem to ease, and with a soft exhale of breath, he reaches out to follow in his son's footsteps and take a ningo finger to go with his cheeses and soup.
"Well," he says once he's meticulously finished his bite of food, "fire plays a large part in the city's culture. I imagine here it is less of an issue, particularly with the dome around the Citadel to keep the worst of the Deepfrost weather at bay. But prior to that, conserving heat and energy would have made sense. At the Celestine, the ursur would hibernate in the colder months."
Despite the dry nature of their conversation (compared to some, anyway), Finn does sound interested, and the words that tumble from his lips provide some much needed ease and comfort in an otherwise unknown situation.
