Maybe it’ll get easy again.” He shrugs his shoulder, looking away from her and down the path again at the lights in the distance. “It’s how I always used to cope before. Guess I have a reason to start up again.” Lay on the charm, bury himself in a combination of people and liquor to push the sadness away.
