Blik had heard that air breathers were rude, but this was above anything he experienced for sure. Partially, because he did not interact with people that much to begin with, though, it was besides the point. The point was, they were rude, rude people.
If later anyone would ask, no, he did not squeak in fear. That sounded ridiculas. Why would he? But he might have gotten a bit spooked because of the unexpected aggressivity towards him that made the octopus sink fully into the water, just to pop up further away from the boat. He squinted grumpily in the direction of ground walkers, huffing a bit more, but doing nothing in the end, cause...To be honest, there was little the boy could do to a solid wood vessel, full of bad people. Very little indeed.
