Finally looking back at her, he narrowed his eyes. "No offense, but how can I know you're the real deal versus a mere charlatan?" Arching his eyebrows, he felt his lips twitch. "An acquaintance of mine can actually tell the future," he informed her. Pausing, he added, "Also I still don't know if you want me to tell you what I told my friend or not."
