"Deimos!" Tal hopped up, bright-eyed and grinning at the General's appearance. "Glad you could make it!" Not that he'd doubted that the Resurrected Sword would come, but it was still nice to have the moral support of someone he respected, and he practically beamed at the tacit approval of his project.
He bobbed his head awkwardly at the woman who followed his friend, a familiar stranger from Deepfrosts spent in Snowcloak. "Uh, thanks for comin', too. I'm Tal." For once he actually remembered to introduce himself, and he practically grinned as he offered the pot to them both. "Coffee?"
With drinks dispensed - or not, as inclinations preferred - Tal nodded to the stretch of burned buildings and wreckage amidst the snow. "No point doin' more work than we have to. I figured if we can find the most intact building left, we can try an' fix it up. Beats buildin' from scratch, at least. Even if it's just got a good foundation an' cellar it'll save us time." With the place left unattended more often than not, having a safe place to store food away from hungry animals was high on the priority list. "Let's split up an' see what we can find. Meet back here in an hour an' we can get t'work on the most likely spot."
Go find a likely-looking building (or what's left of one) and feel free to describe it. We'll find out whether or not it's suitable on closer inspection.
