Opening up the book, she quickly determined it to be an old journal, dating back about fifty years. She closed it, set it back and reached for another. "Oh, if you find anything in a language you can't read, it might be worth setting aside for later. Jigano had a pair of spectacles that translated texts, if I recall correctly."
His laughter made her look up, a little taken aback at first - but her expression soon clouded over and she ducked back behind the cover of old parchment. "No. I didn't know that. No one really told me anything about... anything." Spoken from behind gritted teeth, she didn't sound very amused.
