The thermal drafts are easier to coast along in The Climb than any other place in Caido, which is likely the only positive thing about the place. Warm air buffets beneath her wings, lifting her higher with the smallest twitch of feathers, biddable and eager like a playful companion of the hunt. Her true companion is not far - always within the corner of her vision, and within reach of the bond. She taps into it like a wire, giving the equivalent of a little tug before she speaks. We should be in the right area now. Any ideas you’d like to try for disrupting their camouflage?
Their hunt has a particular target today, but the rock sliders are different than their normal prey fare. Equally predator and prey, they are difficult to spot when still despite their massive size, and while enticing them to attack was a surefire tactic to find one it also offered too great a chance for mistakes. Both Valkyrie and Sword are proficient hunters, but Hotaru does not like to court Caido’s particularly twisted brand of luck.
