“I appreciate any and all kinds of help.” He offers Darkeye with a playful wink, before his oceanic gaze flickers to Maea with a nod of greeting, committing the pale woman’s name to memory and offering an easy and quick fanged grin as everyone picks their task and walls and gets to work. Varus himself picks the second wall, another knife held in his fleshy hand while a smaller bucket of the spackle is held in his right, working to cover the cracks the best that he can.
But it seems all of their attempts start to backfire, the wall that Darkeye has chosen seems to have too deep of a crack for the amount of spackle to make a difference. Perhaps the Cleric needs to add a few pieces of metal within the walls to offer some support for the spackle to give it something to hold onto more.
Maea doesn’t seem to have much luck, either, her movements with filling some of the cracks in the walls have attracted a few humming bats that begin to hum quite loudly, and in their panic start to swarm Maea in their attempts to leave.
Varus himself has little luck as well, the cracks he’s gotten also attract the frightened humming bats, a few of them diving toward him in their attempts at a quick escape.
