Nate wouldn’t be able to explain the leap if he tried, but all at once there’s an edge in his grin, a bite he’d been keeping muzzled since he opened his eyes. “I should have fucking killed him. I should have been smarter about it.” Wessex is the only person he can say this to without worry, the only one who can truly understand the intensity of his grudge.
