Cordelia doesn't arrive with any of her usual commotion. There isn't a teasing word thrown towards Deimos or even a smile. She barely lifts her head to meet Talyson's gaze as she approaches, hands stuffed into the pockets of her coat, breath misting before her on each exhale. Her emotions are closed off to the general, too. There is nothing but a cold numbness along the bond.
The Attuned leans against the side of the barracks, waiting for instruction, having nothing to offer here except for her hands. She recognizes most of the faces here and it's only when Sah arrives that her icy façade finally cracks. A flash of pain in her honeyed gaze as her brows pinch together, breath catching in her throat, but she tamps that down quickly. There was work to do.
