As they crouch together, side-by-side in the shadows of the foliage they help sustain, Evie finds her cheeks ache. It’s a ridiculous name change, too ridiculous for him to have concocted it as a joke, and she can’t help the bubbling of laughter that quietly builds in her chest. “Do you think the fact it’s in the swamp is tied to the equally stupid naming?” Her free hand opens, palm cupped slightly, for him to deposit the blueberries into. Popping them into her mouth instead of returning to the strawberry, eyes close in appreciation for a moment as the taste rolls over her tongue. When they open again, they seek out Deimos’. “But you said supposedly. Have you not gone to investigate yet?” Twirling the strawberry stem idly between her fingers and watching the pale inner flesh spin, she smirks. “Because if you haven’t, maybe we should go together and check it out.” And maybe cause a little mischief. don't let one be you |
