Seeing the opportunity, Nikolai moves in. An energy shard in one hand, the jar in the other, he tries to get into position. Being mindful of the branches, Nikolai digs his shard into the slice that Alexander left, trying to open it further. At the same time, he lines up the lid of the jar with the cut to catch as much sap as possible.
When it looks like the sab is running low, he twists his shard to encourage more to fall, until the jar is full. "I've got enough!" Letting his shard disappear, Nikolai quickly tries to get out of range of the Wicker Woman and seal the lid.

Nikolai uses his energy shard to pry open/twist the cut to make the sap spill as fast as possible into his jar. Once it's full, he tries to jump out of range and seal the lid.
