Sunjata waits, letting the branches slowly start to crush into his Pegasus form, and thankfully before too long both Alexander and Nikolai have retrieved the sap. The second the demigod hears the two ascended’s claims in having enough and getting out, he waits a few seconds longer for them to get out of reach, before the Flood reaches into himself to pick out one of the smaller shifts he has lingering under his skin.
In a few more seconds he’s a bat, shifting so small that the branches struggle to try and grasp him, and soon enough he’s out of their hold, flittering away on leathery wings back toward the other two Ascended where he shifts back into himself to reach for the pack he’s brought and to flash them both a slightly pained grin. “Alright, great teamwork. Now let’s get back.” He hums, picking the path back out of the Woodlands.
