Or well, it all had to do with sex really—makeup, hair, cooking, perfumes—but so long as his son wasn't getting sex tips (and even then..?) gods but this was complicated. Pulling in a breath and nodding wearily, Remi takes a sip of his drink (savouring it, unlike his counterpart downstairs). "Well, I am sure Ronin will tell him as much." The alchemist chuckles. How was he to know just how poorly things were going a floor below? "That is a good thing for you to realize though. You are Ever's friend and not his parent. Sometimes when those things get confusing, even for good reasons, it can be hard on a relationship."
Nodding, Remi puts his glass down and leans forward, his expression becoming one of Serious Dad (which, given that they'd just had a sex-adjacent talk seemed surprising). "There is something I would like to speak with you about." He wouldn't dare have brought cuttings of his son's plants, but what he did have was rubbings of their various leaves along with a few sketches. These he places on the table between them. "I know what these are." He says pointing to the tines of the cactus. "And these look very much like a hybrid between lavender and dream cacti."
