I had made a study of all of the major and most of the minor gods across several pantheons, and I could recognize a majority of arcane and divine spells just from a few words or gestures... and all of that is useless now." Not worthless, perhaps, but for a loreseeker it was frustrating beyond measure to have a lifetime of knowledge that was of no benefit to the people around him.
