Caiside thought bitterly, holding his hand up to glare at the blank spot on his finger where his ring had once sat. It hadn't been beautiful, or even particularly valuable, but the ring represented a piece of his past that made him who he was. "I simply want to know what... aspirations Frey finds worthy, if not power." It was clear that he found the whole idea preposterous. "Or perhaps there is a deity I would be more suited to call upon?"
