He doesn’t speak until she’s ready to comment and when her voice airs, murmuring into his shoulder, muffled by cloth and skin and scar tissue, his arm tightens around her a fraction before a soft laugh leaves him. Not at her words, but at the way it sounds just like him.
“I thought the same.” He offers her, knowing she’d recall their conversations late into the night about Lusea, about the end all be all.
