It's probably no surprise that, despite the impending war and despite the odds being ever in his favour (if the favour is dying), Neron is keeping bar. Everyone's headed home by now and the doors are locked, it's true, but there's always replenishment and stock taking to do, and the Launceleyn takes surprising comfort in the mundane. Soon, after all, he'll have to put his battlemage hat back on, and gods if that isn't something worth putting off for a little while longer.
And so, hefting out a crate from the back room - and once upon a time even the idea of manual labour would have been laughable - he cracks it open and begins to remove bottles of wine from Haulani. It's good shit and then some, the red and the spiced stuff, not that he can taste it any more. Maybe he can ask the Voice for his tastebuds back for a night. She might say yes, if it's likely he's going to drop dead the next day.
