Sam still hated discussion of leaving the barrier, dreaded what it meant for his life and his friends. The whole thing was best left alone, waiting for some other, better suited generation to deal with it. But Jigano was determined and he was a Loreseeker, so he showed up. Going to sit next to Remi out of habit, he had to stop himself from taking his hand or resting affectionate fingers on his thigh. He settled with a smile and a nod.
