The world had changed, but it also hadn't. Since Enzo had died, for Flora at least, everything was in a sort of glacial state. She could see it moving, slowly; could see the shimmer of what had become, but it was veiled from behind a thick layer of ice that kept things distant and distorted.
Walking through the crowded market like a ghost, Flora stuck to the shadows, skulking along like some sort of street urchin. With her messy hair, sunken eyes, and lacklustre..well, everything, she hardly resembled the shiny soul she'd once been. Wearing one of Enzo's sweaters, Flora wrapped her arms around herself as she peered down at the various things on offer in the market. She kept herself from really meeting anyone's gaze, moving along like a ghost anytime it seemed as though someone might be preparing to speak to her.
