"No, no of course they aren't." Flora says instantly, leaning over to one side that she might press her shoulder against Mateo's in a gesture meant to convey apology. If this had been Enzo he'd have made some joke, or kissed her forehead, or otherwise smoothed away her worries. He was magnanimous like that; with her at least. But this wasn't Enzo, and much as Flora desperately wanted to project her twin onto every surface around her, it wasn't fair to project him onto Mateo. "I'm just...it all still feels so hard." She murmurs and shrugs.
Flora's aqua stare turns flat at that. "I don't know why you defend him like that. He's the parent here. It's my twin who was killed. I shouldn't have to be the one to write a fucking letter to get his attention." Yes, Remi had come to her in a dream, and no, it wasn't like there was anything he could do, but...well, if he didn't want to have all the blame put on his shoulders, maybe he should get off his fucking mountain about it.
Blinking soberly, Flora turns her gaze back out toward the sea. "Because I see him, when I'm home. He's everywhere there. And in the town, at the bar, in the streets...but out there.." A smile appears at the same time a sheen of tears do. "I know he isn't out there."
