Unlike every day since Enzo's death, today, Flora looks radiant. The bags beneath her eyes are hidden beneath layers of makeup, and her sunken cheeks have been smoothed with contour and coral blush that makes her eyes appear vibrant and bold. Unlike her mother, Flora's hair is perfectly curled and scented with jasmine. If today is the last time she ever sees her other half, it won't be with runny eyes and pale lashes. Though her body aches for the comfortable softness of her twin's sweaters that she's lived in, Flora wears a gown of flowers (suck it Mateo). It's extravagant, which is the least that Enzo deserves.
Whispering sweet and inarticulate words as Hotaru parts from her, Flora keeps her chin raised and her eyes far from Mateo.
