"Oh." Tal's usual eloquence sparkled like a dead firecracker in the air between them as he drifted along in the Honeybee's wake, trying to figure out a way to keep the conversation going. "That's really nice o'you." His fingers curled against his neck almost hard enough to scratch as he winced at his own awkwardness, but gamely kept up with her.
Boreal trotted along behind Fangorn until the scent of fresh fish caught her attention and she rumbled imperiously to her human. He hurried over to the stall next to the one Melita was currently haggling at and began a transaction of his own, looking over at her distractedly a few times until she spoke to him and he perked up for a second before realizing the meat of her question. A grimace twisted his features back to their more usual gloominess at the reminder, but at least he was able to shake his head in negation. "Nah, not for a couple o' years now. It's actually been pretty nice. Cold, yeah, but... quiet. 'S a good time for visitin' friends an' shit." Though the LongNight card games could get particularly cutthroat between family members.
"What's it like here?"
