Without his rugged sled, and having no impulse to create another one, the Sword wasn’t about to completely eradicate a fellow predator just for the sake of it – but scaring it away? The merits had potential. “Most likely intends to pick some young, sick, or elderly ones,” and he glimpsed ahead, watching as the herd seemed to either not notice, or simply hadn’t had any alarm raised yet. “It would be a good opportunity to test your illusions. And only if we are startling it,” he mulled over, as if his mind hadn’t been made already.
Considering and contemplating, especially with Belial overhead and Zuriel well behind them, pulling at weeds, he knew his companions were safe, and he certainly wouldn’t let anything happen to Alys. “Follow me, but keep yourself out of their sight.” His jaw jutted towards more rows of boulders and crag, where she could hide, or to break out more of her duplicitous methods in obscuring.
