Evie
He dives beneath the surface, aquamarine bubbles and froth concealing him until he is merely a vague dark shape below. Laughing to herself where only she can hear - and isn’t that a marvel, outside of their home, to feel so carefree? - the Evergreen luxuriates up to her shoulders and tilts her head upward for the largest flakes to stubbornly fall past the steam to press cold kisses against her freckled cheeks.
It feels like something out of a fairytale. How can this possibly be her life now? After everything?
Pulled from her reverie by the unnatural swirl of water around her legs, tickling up her shins and around her thighs, Evie grins and tries to return the gesture with her weaker magic to try and swirl and pull around his hair when his propulsion ends. Hoping to entice him back up to the surface where she stands and wades deeper, hands sifting through the foam on the top.
