The storm seemed to harken away, away, away, but neither likely noticed. The permeating chill had long since warmed and pooled and heated into something far better; flares of healing glows and permeating nuances. He couldn’t feel them, not with the magic curled within his blood, but he could follow it, yield to it, meander after it like a beacon, like a home. They’d found their own ways of restoration and liberation.
Neither should have been starved for the other, not with the way they partook in avaricious and greedy claims, but he’d snagged and chased and gave and took just as readily regardless. At her noise he felt grounded and rooted, and his own enchantments unfurled around them, wild and untamed, down into the segments of the pool so that it undulated and churned. Only thereafter did he purposefully angle it around her legs, her hips, her ribs, her frame; touching everywhere all at once.
His mouth persisted, a rogue grin across his lips, hands roaming, following and chasing after the water’s fringes.
