The look on Koa's face was a balm for her nerves, and she blushed deeper at his quiet wow. She offered a shy smile as she approached, but she didn't linger long, jumping into the water before Koa could finish whatever question he had.
The water was warm and inviting, and for a moment, Soh was content to float there, enjoying the sensation against her skin. When she surfaced, she pushed her hair back out of her face and looked around - just in time for Koa to yell, "Cannonball!" and leap into the pool after her. Soh shrieked playfully as water splashed over her, laughing at Koa's goofy nature. Gods, she really liked him, and that made her more nervous than any questionable outfit she may wear.
Then Koa surfaced beside her, his arms going around her waist to pull her in close as she yelped in surprise; she laughed, perhaps a little anxiously, but with a great deal of affection as skin touched skin, sending goosebumps down her spine. She rested her hands on his shoulders, thumbs tracing light patterns on his collarbones. She felt a little dizzy from his proximity, from the feel of him against her, so much closer than she'd ever allowed anyone before.
And then he kissed her.
And she kissed him back, softly, at first, tentative and hesitant and shy; but remembering their stolen kisses from their first date, feeling the warmth of his skin against hers, the strength of his arms around her waist, she slid her hands up his neck to gently cup his face, her thumbs caressing his cheekbones as she deepened the kiss.
