key quest
The air does not seem to resonate with your steps as you begin to descend. However as you do, rather than warm light spilling up from sconces on the wall, the light turns cool and crisp and blue. Electrical, almost.
The staircase begins as stone, however the lower you go the more overgrown it seems to become. The air is moist and heavy and moss has begun to creep out of the crevices. Lower still and now the voices upstairs are dulled almost to a point where you have to hold your breath to hear them. Actually..it is unnervingly quiet.
Nevermind.
The walls are a smooth spiral as are the stairs. Eventually though patterns seem to emerge. Long and twisting, winding and elongated. Faces that look at you with forked tongues.
The sound of rushing water? Or is it—
—hissing.
You judge you are quite low down now. Walking back up will be quite the choreif you ever do walk back up. There seems to be a rustling just behind the stones of the wall, and beneath your feet you wonder if there is stone at all anymore, or if it is simply earth molded into a rough facsimile of stairs. Eventually, you come to the bottom. There is simply a wall and little else.

The ascendeds will notice that the lines of each snake seem to glow faintly with the same blue light as they saw outside when opening the door.
For this round, you may discuss your actions together OOC and have ONE member of your group post with what you chose to do. You have 24 hours to reply.
