Noah wrapped the fish in parchment and dipped his head and murmured his thank you to the merchant, despite the way his workers whispered and stared behind him. Giving them a forced and tight smile, he turned to leave, but was stopped short. Having only strode a few feet from the stand before the ancient called out, Noah still held the fish in his hands.
